Make it Monday #23 - Creating Pockets with Edger Dies

Hello!

I am participating in this week's Make-it-Monday Challenge from Papertrey Ink!!  The challenge was to use edger dies to create pockets for use on a card or layout.  I actually don't own any of the edger dies yet (gasp!!)  however I made due with one of my border punches.  Dawn McVey was the challenge demo this week, and I seriously loved her layout and colour combination (she used a vibrant green, a more subdued green, and a beige print), that I simply HAD to be just like her and do something similar!  haha I used different colours, but a lot of scraplifting occurred (hehe).  You can see her original post on her blog, or by visiting the challenge link above.  Here is what I ended up with:

Cardstock: Aqua Mist, Hawaian Shores (Papertrey Ink)
Patterned Paper: 2009 Bitty Dots Basics (Papertrey Ink)
Stamps: Background Basics: Text Style, Embellishments (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Pool Party (Stampin' Up!), Jet Black (StazOn)
Die Cuts: Bracket Edger Punch, Double Crochet Lace Edger Punch (EK Success), Beautiful Butterflies (Sizzix)
Other: Material (Hobby Lobby),  Machine Stitching,  Decorative Pin (handmade)

Hope you enjoy!
Please leave a comment.  I love to hear from you!!

It turned out beautiful. Love the look of the pocket. I'll have to give this a try now.
