Must Love Dogs - Scrapbook Page

Hello! I finally did some scrapping ... and just for fun!! It felt fantabulous! I made a super sweet page featuring my family's favourite pets...our puppies. Title: Cudmore's Must Love Dogs. The Cudmore's are my mom's side of the family, and this is pretty much our belief. These are a few of our dogs together at a family function this summer. My puppy is the beautiful black lab...she will be 15 this year and her name is Lady.

Hope you enjoy! Please leave a comment. I love to hear from you!

PTI Embellishment Challenge

Celebrations continue over on Nichole Heady's blog for Papertrey Ink's 3rd anniversary, and today Nichole issued a phenomenal challenge! If you frequent the PTI design team blogs, I am sure you have seen the many Embellie posts Dawn McVey and Michelle Wooderson have had showcasing the acetate sheets they fill with oodles of fantastic handmade embellishments. If you haven't seen them, I suggest you check them out....fantastic fantastic fantastic!

Nichole's challenge for us today was to take inspiration from these ladies and come up with our own handmade embellishments. We were to use one embellie on a card, and make up our own acetate sheet of coordinating embellies to send to a crafty friend.

Here is what I came up with (warning...oodles of pics - haha):

The process:

The Card:

The Embellies:

Supplies
Cardstock: PTI Vintage Cream, PTI Sweet Blush, PTI New Leaf
Cricut: Plantin Schoolbook (Flowers and Leaves), Jasmine (Vintage Tag and 'friend')
Stamp: PTI Life set
Buttons: PTI Lemon Tart, and some random pink buttons I had lying around
Glitter: SU! Dazzling Diamonds

Hope you enjoy them!

PTI Resist Emboss Challenge

Hello!

Papertrey Ink is keeping the fun going over on Nichole's blog today. She has done a video demonstrating the Resist Emboss stamping technique, and has challenged us PTI lovers to give it a try! This was the first (and second) time I have done this technique. The reason it is my first and second all in one is because my first try didn't work so well. I used the large flourish from PTI's Fancy Flourishes, and Lemon Tart ink. I am not sure if this is simply a bad combo (thin stamp, light ink), if it was a problem with one or the other (thin stamp OR light ink), or if I simply didn't apply enough ink to the image!! Either way, attempt number two was MUCH better!

I made a book mark using my Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut Cartridge to cut my base on Stamper's Select White (PTI), and shadow on Smokey Shadow (PTI). My background is stamped in Smokey Shadow ink using my Text Styles (PTI) background stamp. The main image is a combo of the large and a smaller leaf image from Turning a New Leaf (PTI) (how perfect of a name for a bookmark right?) stamped in Versa Mark ink, and embossed with clear embossing power from Stampin' Up!. And the blotting (for lack of a better word...sponging maybe?) was done using a sponge dauber (yes, sponging is the better word) and Spring Moss ink (PTI).

Here is a video showing how I put this together:

Hope you enjoy!

PTI Happy Birthday Image Challenge

Hello!

Papertrey Ink will be celebrating their 3rd anniversary this month, and to celebrate, they are having a ton of fun over on Nichole Heady's blog! Today the 2010 stamp design team was announced, and a challenge was issued. Each designer posted an image on their blog. We had to select an image, print it out, and use it in a project. How fun!

Here is mine:

Here is the video showing how I put together this card (super simple!):

I used the Papertrey Ink Polka Dot Basics stamp set.

Hope you enjoy!
