Layout - Hello Independence

I made a layout that is NOT 12 x 12, is HYBRID, and includes hand cutting.  I don't really think there is much more to say about this.  YAY for me branching out (WAY OUT) of my comfort zone!!

In all seriousness, I so love how simple this layout was to put together.  The 8.5 x 11 size combined with the digital elements made this so so quick and easy.  I will definitely be trying this again!  My goal was to use one of Ali Edwards digi elements from her current Pinterest Passport challenge, but I ended up surpassing even my own expectations about how this would turn out.

Supplies
Cardstock: Heavyweight White 110lb (Georgia Pacific)
Digital Elements: Layered Template Set No. 127 (Cathy Zielske), Love This Story Digital Stamp (Ali Edwards), Little Things Digital Stamp Set (Ali Edwards)
Patterned Paper: grey hearts strip (unknown)
Stamps: Little Things Stamp Set (Ali Edwards)
Inks: Tuxedo Black (Momento), Grey Watercolour (Artist's Loft)
Other: pink phrase stickers (October Afternoon), grey and turquoise phrase stickers (Elle's Studio), Date Stamp (Trodat), yellow brads (unknown), turquoise enamel dots (My Mind's Eye), pink enamel triangles (Recollections), twine ( My Mind's Eye), mini staples (Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher)

National Scrapbooking Day - A Layout

Hello!

I SCRAPBOOKED!!   hahaha
FINALLY!
I couldn't let National Scrapbooking Day go by without a little scrappy effort from me.  So here is a layout I have been meaning to get to for well over a year now - fun family trip to Medieval Times!  I used a Becky Fleck Sketch posted on the Scrapbook and Cards Today Blog as one of their challenges for today, and let me just ask, WHY DON'T I ALWAYS USE A SKETCH?!?!  This took a lot of the 'thinking' effort out of my scraping, which I really enjoyed.  The layout came together so quickly!  Hope you enjoy!

Papers: Black Cardstock (Bazzil), Old School Collection (pinkpaislee), Oliver Collection, Basics Collection (Basic Grey)
Punch: EK Success
Letter Stickers: Cream & Red Mini Market (October Afternoon), Eric Foam Thickers (American Crafts)
Staples

Layout - My Favourite Place

Hello!

I wanted to share a layout I completed a few days ago.  I am participating in Shimelle Laine's 'A Hitchhiker's Guide to Scrapbooking' class at Two Peas in a Bucket (so fun!).  Our first challenge was to put together a pile of supplies (starting with paper) with which to make a layout.  Take a picture of the supplies, and then take a picture of the final product!  I liked this because it took a lot of the thinking out of the actual putting together of the project.  Here is what I came up with.  Hope you enjoy!

Thank You Cards

Hello!

A few simple cards to share today.  My husband asked me to make him some thank you cards.  Some were to be for women, others men.  I tried to make a gender neutral card, but did NOT succeed ... haha ... so I ended up with a few of each design, one very feminine, one not so much.  Hope you enjoy!

Beach Bums

Hello!

Awhile ago I posted about going on a fantastic Caribbean cruise with my husband and friends during early March.  We had a BLAST!  I have slowly (very slowly!) been getting pages done for this...I posted some of them HERE and HERE.  Today I want to share one of my favourite pages for this cruise (it is tied with the 'ladies who beach' one in the first link).  This is of me and my hubby, in a typical 'selfie' picture.  I used papers from the October Afternoon 'Fly a Kite' line (love) and really like how it turned out!  Hope you like it!

Hope everyone has a great day and weekend!  I am standing up in a wedding this weekend so I will hopefully have another post up early next week!
