PTI WCMD Challenge #4

Back again to share my last challenge...and just in time to end World Card Making Day! This one was a bit difficult for me at first. I had to really challenge myself to incorporate the concepts Nichole was asking for...definitely outside of my comfort zone. However I managed to find some inspiration in a picture, and things flowed from there.

Here is a picture I found on the net that inspired me to create what I did:

And here is my card:

It took me a few tries to get an end result that I was happy with. Here is my first try...my second is on the back of this page...
When I finally figured out a pattern that I liked, I worked with my inks to get a multi-coloured effect. Using PTI ink cubes I inked up the middle of my stamp with Dark Chocolate, and the outside with Ocean Tides.
By adding white dots with my white gel pen, (one of the choices Nichole gave us for this challenge), and another stamp inked in Fresh snow, I was able to get an 'aboriginal-y' (swear this is a real word) look - which is what the whole challenge was about!
I added some white satin ribbon, stapled to the edges, matted my Kraft mat onto an Ocean Tides mat, and adhered to the Dark Chocolate base (all PTI cardstocks). I added a piece of twine between the two looped ribbons (a first for me - these challenges SO helped me branch out!) to complete the card.
Hope you like it! And I hope everyone had a fantastic World Card Making Day!
Please leave a comment! I love to hear from you!

I know this one's going to be tough for me....you really nailed it, though. I especially like how you adhered your ribbon onto the card. And these colors are great together.
