Hello!!
This is my second post for the day, so if you are looking for the Paper Playtime post, go HERE, or scroll down to the post just below this one :). I wanted to participate in this week's Make it Monday challenge from Papertrey Ink, which is to create your own striped ribbon using copic markers. I don't know if I LOVE this technique, although I see the value when you want a coordinating custom ribbon....
Here is what I came up with.
Hope you enjoy!! Please leave a comment. I love to hear from you!

Make it Monday #23 - Creating Pockets with Edger Dies
Hello!
I am participating in this week's Make-it-Monday Challenge from Papertrey Ink!! The challenge was to use edger dies to create pockets for use on a card or layout. I actually don't own any of the edger dies yet (gasp!!) however I made due with one of my border punches. Dawn McVey was the challenge demo this week, and I seriously loved her layout and colour combination (she used a vibrant green, a more subdued green, and a beige print), that I simply HAD to be just like her and do something similar! haha I used different colours, but a lot of scraplifting occurred (hehe). You can see her original post on her blog, or by visiting the challenge link above. Here is what I ended up with:
Cardstock: Aqua Mist, Hawaian Shores (Papertrey Ink)
Patterned Paper: 2009 Bitty Dots Basics (Papertrey Ink)
Stamps: Background Basics: Text Style, Embellishments (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Pool Party (Stampin' Up!), Jet Black (StazOn)
Die Cuts: Bracket Edger Punch, Double Crochet Lace Edger Punch (EK Success), Beautiful Butterflies (Sizzix)
Other: Material (Hobby Lobby), Machine Stitching, Decorative Pin (handmade)
Hope you enjoy!
Please leave a comment. I love to hear from you!!

Make It Monday #22 - Multi-Colour Stamping with Ink Refills
Hello!
I am participating in the Papertrey Ink Make-it-Monday Challenge this week (today is the last day!!...eek). The challenge is to create your own 'ink pad' of sorts using re-inkers to stamp a single image in multiple colours...a multi-coloured single image? Something like that...hahaha. Anywhoo, here is what I came up with. I used two different images from the Papertrey Ink Round & Round Anniversary Set (so fun). I really like how this technique works, however had difficulty with it simply because I don't have a lot of stamps to choose from that have a need for multiple colours!! Most of the sets I have (and I have FAR too many) are either single image or multi-step stamping...perhaps I need to invest in this area?? :)
Here are my cards!
Cardstock: Dark Chocolate, Raspberry Fizz, Simply Chartreuse, Stampers Select White (Papertrey Ink), Crushed Curry (Stampin' Up!), Vellum (?)
Stamps: Round & Round, Background Basics Text Style (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: True Black, Raspberry Fizz, Simply Chartreuse, Dark Chocolate (Papertrey Ink), Crushed Curry (Stampin' Up!), Jet Black (Staz On)
Die Cuts: Mat Stack 1 (Papertrey Ink), 1 3/4" Circle Punch (Paper Shapers)
Other: iRock Gems (Imaginisce), White Satin Ribbon
Hope you enjoy!!
Please leave a comment. I love to hear from you!!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge - Sentiments
Hello!
I am participating in Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday Challenge this week. This is a new weekly challenge that will be hosted by Papertrey Ink every Monday featuring a new technique that we can try. This week the challenge is to combine similar sentiments from various stamp sets to create a sentiment theme of sorts. My Sister-in-Law has a birthday coming up, so I went with that theme as a starter. She also LOVES pink so I incorporated that as well!! Hope you enjoy!
Cardstock: Smokey Shadow, Simply Chartreuse, Raspberry Fizz (Papertrey Ink)
Patterned Paper: It's Official Paper Pad (Papertrey Ink)
Stamps: Around & About Sentiments, Birthday Bash Sentiments, Butterfly Kisses, Fillable Frames #1, Mixed Messages, Paper Tray, Pond Life Sentiments, Round & Round (Papertrey Ink)
Die Cuts: Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die (Stampin' Up!)
Please leave a comment. I love to hear from you!!
