I have a layout for you today that I made based on the Day 2 sketch for Kelly Purkey's Sketchbook 2 class. My grandmother passed away last weekend (not unexpectedly...she had been battling with cancer for the past few months), and I made this as my part of her memorial items at the visitation. She was an amazing woman, who was a major part of my upbringing. Incredibly strong (physically, and emotionally), she grew up playing competitive hockey, baseball and basketball, became a nurse, and then served as an army lieutenant in WWII. She lived an amazing life, and would have been 90 this November! I used a photograph of her and myself on my wedding day, and another of her and my grandfather on their wedding day. I REALLY love how it turned out!!!!
Please leave a comment. I love to hear from you!

What a beautiful layout to celebrate a special, beautiful woman. I'm sorry to hear about your loss, but I love that you celebrated her life with this layout. I love the colours, the lace trim and the flowers. Beautiful!
That is just beautiful. My grandmother too was always such an inspiration and is one of the people that I miss most everyday.
Thanks so much for sharing.
